🌍 Adding Phone Numbers in JotPhone

With JotPhone, you can purchase phone numbers from over 70 countries and manage them directly from the Phone Numbers section of your account.

Each country has its own regulatory requirements, which may include submitting documents for verification. Once your documents are approved for a specific country and number type, the same documents can typically be reused to add additional numbers of the same type.

In some cases, only an address may be required.

⚙️ Steps to Add a Phone Number

Step 1: Go to the Phone Numbers Section

Log in to your JotPhone account and navigate to the Phone Numbers section.

Step 2: Click “Add Number”

Click the Add Number button located in the top-right corner of the page.

Step 3: Select Country and Number Type

Choose:

• The country
• The number type (Local, Mobile, Toll-Free, etc.)

from the available dropdown menus.

Step 4: Choose a Number

Depending on the selected country and number type, you may see additional filters such as:

• Region
• Area code
• Prefix

A number will then be displayed based on your selection.

To continue:

• Click Confirm to proceed with the displayed number
• Or click Choose a Different Number to view additional options

⚠️ Number Availability

If numbers matching your selected criteria are unavailable, you’ll be prompted to submit a request form with details such as:

• Number type
• Quantity required
• Country/region preferences

This allows JotPhone to procure numbers that are not instantly available.

📄 Step 5: Submit Address or Documentation

Depending on the country and number type, you may need to provide:

• Address details
• Business documents
• Personal identification documents

You’ll first be asked whether the number will be used by:

• A Business
• An Individual

Based on your selection:

• Business users must upload company-related documents
• Individual users must upload personal ID documents

📝 Step 6: Submit Required Information

Fill out all required fields and upload the necessary documents.

If address proof is required by the country’s regulations, you may also be prompted to provide it.

Once completed, click Save & Next.

✅ Step 7: Confirm Details

Review all submitted information.

(Optional) You can also assign a custom name to the phone number for easier identification.

Once everything is verified, click Add Number.

⏳ Step 8: Submission Confirmation

After submission:

• A confirmation message will appear
• You’ll see the estimated review timeframe
• You’ll also be informed where to track the request status

Once approved, the number will automatically be added to your account and become available in the Phone Numbers section.

If you already have approved documents for the same country and number type, they can typically be reused.

If the number type changes (for example, from Local to Mobile), you may need to submit documents again.

Is the review time the same for all countries?

No.

Where can I track the status of my request?

You can track all pending requests and document submissions under the Pending subsection in the Phone Numbers section.

What happens if my documents are rejected?

If your documents are rejected:

• You can review the rejection reason in the Pending section
• Make the required corrections
• Resubmit the documents

You’ll also receive an email explaining the reason for rejection.

💡 Free Phone Numbers with Your Subscription

The number of free phone numbers included with your subscription depends on the number of members in your account.

Example:

If your account has 10 members (including yourself), you can add up to 10 phone numbers at no additional cost — provided each number costs $6 or less.

Any additional numbers beyond that limit will be chargeable.

“Free phone numbers” means the number cost is automatically reduced to zero for eligible numbers within your allowed limit.
