🔄 Queue Auto-Reconnect in JotPhone

We’re exited to introduce Queue Auto-Reconnect, an enhancement to JotPhone's queue functionality that ensures smoother and more efficient call routing.

With this feature enabled, available agents are automatically connected to the oldest caller waiting in the queue, reducing wait times and improving the overall customer experience.

📌 What is Queue Auto-Reconnect?

Queue Auto-Reconnect automatically routes the oldest waiting caller in the queue to the next available agent.

This helps:

• Reduce customer wait times
• Improve agent efficiency
• Eliminate the need for manual queue pickups
• Enhance customer satisfaction through faster response times

⚙️ How to Enable Queue Auto-Reconnect

Follow these steps to enable the feature for a JotPhone number:

Step 1

Log in to your JotPhone account.

Step 2

Go to the Phone Numbers section from the left sidebar.

Step 3

Select the phone number for which you want to enable Queue Auto-Reconnect.

Step 4

Under the phone number settings, locate the Wait Queue Settings section.

Step 5

You need to set the Queue Wait time, Queue Groups and also choose one of the following options:

• Agents are automatically connected with the oldest caller in the queue
  → Enables Queue Auto-Reconnect
• Agents can pick up calls manually from the queue
  → Keeps manual queue handling enabled

⚠️ Important Note

Although this setting is configured at the phone number level, Queue Autoreconnect works at the Company ID level.

This means the system always considers the oldest caller across the queue when routing calls.

🔁 How Queue Auto-Reconnect Works

Once enabled:

• Calls waiting in the queue are automatically monitored
• As soon as an agent becomes available, the oldest queued caller is connected automatically
• No manual call pickup or transfer is required

This ensures customers are connected as quickly as possible.

🛠️ Additional Customization Options

You can further optimize Queue Auto-Reconnect with the following settings:

Queue Wait Time

Configure how long calls remain in the queue before being routed to voicemail.

This setting can be managed under the Advanced Settings section of the phone number.

Queue Callback Integration

Combine Queue Auto-Reconnect with the Queue Callback feature to allow customers to request a callback instead of waiting on hold.
