Dialler
The Dialler is the calling interface that allows users to make outbound calls directly from their JotPhone account. It provides a keypad for entering phone numbers, access to calling-related options, and alerts such as Low Credit Balance so users can manage their calling activity without interruptions.
1. Low Credit Balance
The Low Credit Balance notification alerts users when the available calling credits in their account are running low.
What it means:
- JotPhone uses account credits for certain calling activities.
- When the available balance reaches a low level, the system displays a warning.
- This helps users avoid unexpected interruptions while making outbound calls.
- If the balance becomes insufficient, some calling functionality may be affected depending on the account and billing setup.
Why it is useful:
- Helps users monitor their available calling balance.
- Prevents calls from being interrupted because of insufficient credits.
- Gives administrators or account owners an opportunity to add credits or update billing settings before the balance runs out.
Example:
If an agent is making multiple international calls and the account balance is getting low, the Dialer may display a Low Credit Balance warning. The account owner can then add credits or take the required billing action.
2. Number Keypad
The Number Keypad is the main section of the Dialler used to enter the phone number that you want to call.
Users can enter a phone number manually by clicking the required numbers on the keypad.
How to use the keypad
- Open Dialler from your JotPhone account.
- Select the appropriate country code if required.
- Enter the recipient's phone number using the keypad.
- Verify that the number is correct.
- Click the Call button to start the call.
You can also use the keypad during an active call when interacting with automated systems.
Using the keypad during a call
The keypad is particularly useful when calling businesses that use an IVR or automated phone menu.
For example:
"Press 1 for Sales, Press 2 for Support, Press 3 for Billing."
You can use the Dialler's keypad to press 1, 2, or 3 and navigate through the automated menu.
Important points
- Include the country code when required, especially for international calls.
- Double-check the number before placing the call.
- The available calling balance should be sufficient for the call.
- The keypad can be used both before placing a call and during a call to enter IVR options.
- The Dialler provides a convenient way to make calls without manually opening a separate phone application.
